This retro Railway lantern heater lamp is now ready for sale…

It arrived encrusted with dirt, and a few traces of red paint.. and in need of TLC.
The wick was removed, a light bulb holder, switch and vintage style flex added and the aluminium body polished to a bright industrial finish.

Originally this was a low light lantern, but would have also produced heat. It has now been professionally converted to electrical operation and fitted with a 10w filament lamp. The body reaches about 50 degrees with this lamp and is safe to run with upto a 25w filament lamp (which will make the top reach about 85 centigrade!).

Ideal as a gift for anyone interested in industrial design.. it sure has the rocketman/spaceage look!
